A MAN MADE DISASTER "Compliments of Lakes Sam Rayburn And Toledo Bend"
The lake waters kept risin
It was somewhat surprising
How disaster like this
Could be caused by remiss
Lake dwellers wanted the water to be higher
And the Dam Autorities met their desire
But the torrential rain begain
And the authorities dreaded meeting the dwellers demand
The levee was about to break
The ground begain the shake
The flood gates had to be open without delay
A decision the autorities have to live with everyday
Victims are suing the Sabine River Autorities
A class actionlawsuit is their main priority
For thousands of homes and lives were destoyed or affected
All across South West Louisianna and South East Texas

Grandfather
Day after day in his rocking chair
He would just sit and stare in the air
And dream of his childhood days
When he played and played for hours on end
And when he had many a friend
But now those days have gone away
And grandfather sits another day.
